02The pattern

Yes On Day One. Quiet By Day Ninety.

If you run a 2A business, you know the sequence. The application is approved. Ninety days in, a risk department that never understood the business starts asking questions.

  1. 01

    Sudden account review

A request to explain your business model. Every 2A merchant knows what usually comes next.

  2. 02

    Frozen or held funds

A packed Saturday looks like fraud to a generic risk algorithm. A held batch on Friday becomes a payroll problem by Monday.

  3. 03

    Fees you cannot name

Two shops with identical volume can pay thousands apart over a year. The difference is buried three pages into the statement.

  4. 04

Support that does not know the trade

Layaway, transfers, lane rentals, class deposits, and NFA timelines are normal here. Explaining them to a call center every time is not support.

Your business was never the problem. Your processor never understood it.

03Who we serve

Elite 2A Pay works with 2A businesses and nothing else. That focus is the reason underwriting reads your operation correctly.

  • 04

    Training academies

Class registrations, deposits, memberships, instructor programs.

  • 05

    Compliant e-commerce

Card-not-present accounts underwritten for this vertical.

  • 06

    Tactical and outdoor retail

Sporting goods operators with a 2A department that gets miscoded.

04Why Elite 2A Pay

Underwritten For 2A, Not Around It

01

Approved on purpose

Our banking partners approved this vertical deliberately, not by accident. Your account is not sitting on a shelf waiting to be flagged, frozen, or closed for prohibited business type. Underwriting reads your business correctly the first time.

02

Priced line by line

Interchange is fixed. Everything stacked on top is negotiable. We use interchange-plus pricing, fully disclosed, with no junk line items and no quarterly surprises. If a fee is on your statement, we can name it.

03

Funded next business day

Deposits land when the statement says they will, on a standard next-business-day schedule, subject to approval and batch cutoff times. Peak weekends are underwritten up front, so growth does not read as a red flag.

04

One rep who picks up

A single point of contact who knows your account, your industry, and your POS. Not a ticket queue. Not a new agent every call.

10Before you switch

Quick Answers

  • Will switching shut down my counter?

No. Your rep schedules the cutover and confirms hardware and POS compatibility before anything changes.

  • Do I have to switch to get the review?

No. The statement review is free and carries no obligation. Plenty of operators use it just to see their real numbers.

  • Do you work with newly licensed dealers?

Yes. New FFLs and multi-location operations both fit. Volume history helps but is not required.

11Detail

Straight Answers

Card networks and banks assign risk classifications by industry, not by how well a business is run. Firearms retail and related businesses are commonly placed in a high-risk category because of chargeback exposure, regulatory complexity, and internal bank policy. The classification is not a judgment about your operation. It simply means you need a processor and a sponsoring bank that have deliberately approved the vertical rather than one that will discover it later.

Most closures happen because the account was boarded under a general retail code and the sponsoring bank's policy never permitted the vertical in the first place. When a routine review surfaces the actual business type, the account gets offboarded, often with a thirty-day notice and a reserve on the balance. Working with a processor whose banking partners approved this industry up front is what prevents that outcome.

We use interchange-plus pricing. Interchange is the fixed cost set by the card networks. Our margin sits on top of it and is disclosed in writing before you sign. Exact pricing depends on your monthly volume, average ticket, and card-present versus card-not-present mix, which is why we ask for a statement rather than quoting a number blind.

Standard next-business-day funding, subject to approval and batch cutoff times. Your rep will confirm your specific cutoff schedule during setup.

Often not. Many terminals and POS systems can be reprogrammed or integrated. Where new hardware is needed, your rep will tell you before you commit, not after.

Yes, for compliant e-commerce operations. Card-not-present accounts are underwritten differently than storefront accounts, so the review looks at your website, your compliance process, and your fulfillment workflow.

Your most recent monthly processing statement, all pages. That is it. We will tell you what every line means and put our pricing beside it in writing.

Start with the statement review.

Yes. New FFLs can be approved. Without processing history, underwriting relies more heavily on your projected volume, licensing, and business documentation, and your rep will tell you exactly what is needed.

A reserve is a portion of funds a sponsoring bank may hold against future chargeback exposure. Whether one applies depends on your volume, ticket size, and processing history. If a reserve applies to your account, it is disclosed in your approval terms up front, never introduced afterward.

No. Elite 2A Pay is a merchant services provider. We place merchants with acquiring banks and processing platforms that support this industry, and we manage the relationship, the pricing, and the support on your behalf.
